Poem Number Four: Androgynous (an Anagram Poem)

One foot up on the baby grand
Hair glittered and gray
Chewing a lollipop stick, cheek round
With candy. Who are you?
The heel of your loafer ground
Into the lacquer, the wood, the sound
Of piano wires snapping. Are you angry?
The empty promise of orgy
Sticky with hairspray and drugs
The whole world nothing but sand
In an hourglass: What a drag.

"Have no fear of perfection. You'll never reach it." --Salvador Dali
